 NASW-FL reports CEs for workshops offered by us for FL Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapist and Mental Health Counselors.

 NASW Continuing Education

Professional development is an essential activity for ensuring quality social work services. The cornerstone of professional development is continuing your education. Regardless of career stage, social workers are ethically required to keep informed of current research, theory, and techniques that guide social work practice to better serve clients and constituents.  

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Requests for refunds must be made in writing at least 72 hours in advance of the program and will be issued less a 15% administrative fee.  To request a refund, e-mail info.naswfl@socialworkers.org  and include the date and title of the event. There will be no refunds for cancellations made after the deadline. There is a $25.00 charge on all returned checks. This policy is effective immediately and supersedes any cancellation policies previously published.

*NASW-FL's Lake/Sumter Unit presents "Thriving While Solo: Aging Well Through Planning and Social Determinations of Health," presented by Josephine Cirrinone, BSW, and Lu Karazas, LCSW, and sponsored by Transition Life Consultants. The event is scheduled for 2:00 pm — 4:00 pm (ET).

Join us to learn the impact of social determinants of health on aging outcomes by identifying key factors that increase the risk of seniors aging alone. Also, we will evaluate the risks associated with a lack of planning in solo aging. There will also be a structured planning framework to assess gaps in support systems and recommendations for appropriate interventions/resources.   

This workshop has been approved for and offers 2 contact hours BAP-321, EXP. 02/27.

*NASW-FL presents "Become a Qualified Supervisor" with Nancy Gordon, LCSW. The schedule is: 8:30 am — 3:30 pm (ET) both days.

This course explores the most critical, important and impactful professional relationship that a social worker will have. The supervisory relationship determines how social workers conduct themselves in the clinical, ethical, legal, and regulatory domains of their practice. 

Registration: Members - $250.00 and Non-Members - $350.00. 

This course fulfills the requirement to be a Qualified Supervisor under Chapter 491. 
Please ensure you are eligible to become a qualified supervisor.

Attendees must attend all 12 hours, no partial credit and be on camera.

Registration closes at 4 pm (ET) April 29. The zoom link will then be sent.
